Introducing Wei Jian Hang!
We are in absolute shock that we're even sharing this wonderful news. We thought it would be months before we received a referral, but to our surprise we recieved the call last Tuesday! Here's what we know so far...
Wei Jian Hang was born 3/1/05 (just 7.5 mos after Cackie) he is in Tianjin City Chilren's Welfare Institute about 85 miles from Beijing...
He has a repaired cleft lip and unrepaired cleft palate, but according to our pediatrician he's very healthy.
The report that we received says...
He is a bright, open, cute little boy. He likes to communicate with those around him. He has a strong sense of music and whenever music is playing he will dance to the rhythm of the music.
Wei Jian Hang is a very sensible child. Every day he helps the nannies do some tasks within his own ability. If he sees the nanny giving another child a bath, he will go get some clothes on his own initiative. If he sees a child drop a piece of trash, he will help pick it up and throw it in the garbage. When he eats some fruit or snacks or has a toy, he will take the initiative to first offer it to other children before thinking of himself.
Doesn't that sound soo cute?
We haven't yet figured out what we're going to name him, hopefully soon. Our agency says 4 - 5 months to travel and because of other commitments we're hoping that will be around late April.
Lots to do between now and then!
I'm extremely anxious for my class to be over with (2 more weeks!) and then I can really dive into planning, etc.
Bottom line is we're excited and we'll soon be a family of four!
